This week in my At Home with Style Series it is an honour for me to introduce you to Ivy Pierce, interior designer and founder of lifestyle brand, India and Ivy.

Ivy has a wonderful eye for design; she possesses the highly desirable skill of mixing and matching new pieces with pre-loved and vintage finds.  Blending traditional styles with more modern looks, she creates chic and timeless interiors and products with ease, style and flair.

It was during a trip to India in 2019 that Ivy became captivated with the traditional art of hand blocking. Soon after her Indian adventure, Ivy was delighted to discover she was pregnant with her beautiful daughter, Heidi.

In the process of designing Heidi’s nursery, Ivy sourced and designed block printed bedding and as Heidi has grown they have discovered together the true joy of beautiful matching smocked clothing made using hand blocked fabrics. And, yes, they have the cutest mummy and mini matching moments!

Ivy and Heidi looking just divine!

India and Ivy is a beautiful destination to shop items which are ethically produced; social responsibility and sustainability are at the heart of Ivy’s business.

It is wonderful to give you a glimpse into Ivy’s world, enjoy!

Describe your personal design style in 3 words?

Traditional, eclectic and feminine.

A beautifully set table with a colourful twist on the holiday season! I love this beautifully collaboration between India and Ivy and Mary and Crew.

Favourite room in your home?

We are actually in the process of renovating our new home – so it doesn’t actually exist yet!

I’m thinking my new favourite room will be our breakfast room. We are planning on installing a gorgeous Pierre Frey Ikat wallpaper and painting all the original 1940’s millwork in Farrow & Ball Parma Gray – a beautiful grey / blue shade which I hope will provide a lovely contrast to my collection of hobnail milk glass and blue and white porcelain.

I’m also planning to re-use my vintage 1960’s lucite dining table and a set of antique french cane chairs I picked up at an estate sale last year. Dining spaces are always my favourite as I LOVE to entertain!

Blue and white is always right! A perfect table set with love by Ivy

 What inspires you?

Interior design, travel, beautiful textiles, and of course, my baby girl – her enthusiasm for life inspires me daily!

The cutest Mummy and Mini moment! Ivy and Heidi, the sweetest pair!

Your greatest home extravagance?

Beautiful table linens!

I keep linens on the tables in our two dining spaces at all times – it just brings a smile to my face!

Our Indian block print table linens are washable, so they really are quite easy to clean when you have a little one running her sticky fingers all over them!

Time for a special celebration; Ivy has such a timeless and whimsical style filled with charm and personality

What is on your wish list?

So many things for my new home – hand painted chinoiserie wallpaper panels for our formal living room are at the tippy top!

And always, I have a weakness for beautiful children’s clothing! I’m loving winter florals for my daughter, Heidi, right now!

Oh so divine; Samantha Varvel and her adorable baby Kit wearing matching India and Ivy dresses

Your favourite interior designer (if you have one!) / interior influencer?

Mark D Sikes and Amy Berry are always at the top of my favourites list! Both do a wonderful job at creating traditional interiors that feel fresh and new – never stuffy.

A feast for the eyes!

Thank you so much Ivy for inspiring and delighting us with your life and style.  For more inspiration be sure to follow Ivy on Instagram and visit her website online, India and Ivy.
